We are currently seeking an Interoperability Test Engineer to join our Charging Systems team. This position requires an experienced professional who is passionate about electric vehicles, has knowledge in both software and hardware testing with wide background in-vehicle charging, standards and interoperability. The Role:
Member of the Charging Systems validation team who will be responsible for charging robustness with regards to interoperability, Plug and ChargePlan and execute system-level test cases related to AC and DC interoperabilityPerform and collaborate tests on vehicles with all charging network operators of North America (United States & Canada)Analyze test data to verify system behavior, communication between EVSE-EV, troubleshooting issues, and raising bug tickets within company and external networksPerform conformance testing of charging to ISO 15118, DIN 70121, Plug and ChargeClearly communicate test results, collaborate with stakeholders globally to discuss issues detected, and work on next action planTraveling within North America for testing purposes to support end-to-end charging validationWork with Engineering teams to create new software requirements to improve interoperability coverageTriaging bugs and serving as primary interface to issues encountered in fieldQualifications:
2+ years of testing background in automotive (or related) domain or battery validationExperience and technical background in EV vehicle operation, charging ecosystem, EVSEUnderstanding of the ISO 15118 and one of the following IEC61851, J1772, OCPP, OCPI, CCS1, CCS2Experience with tools such as CANalyzer/ CANoe, Wireshark, CANape, Sniffer, Jama, JiraStrong knowledge of system-level testing, requirements, data capturing, and analysisExperience with electrical signals CAN, LIN, Ethernet, PLC CommunicationAbility to travel within US to support testing with several vendors
Preferred:
Knowledge of test scripting for automating test setupsExperience in working with High Voltage systemsExperience in using Keysight systems, Comemso will be advantageousAbility to travel to Europe and other countries to support testing and training EngineersExperience on working in labs, creating test setups, failure scenarios in that environmentEducation:
