Your role and your team: 

The Controlling Intern will report to the Head of Procurement Controlling and work closely with the Munich based Controlling and FP&A team to shape the development of the business and our world class product. As a fully integrated member of the team, your focus will be on controlling the direct and general procurement departments, supporting in the design and implementation of financial models to support decision making and planning at all levels of the company.

The successful candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will be a creative and analytical problem solver. 

Your Day to Day:

  • Support the Head of Procurement Controlling in overseeing the procurement function’s operations, from sourcing to receiving, for all financial related matters
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial controlling reports by collecting, summarizing, assessing and presenting key data 
  • Evaluate financial performances by conducting financial analysis, including the development and improvement of financial models 
  • Prepare crisp and clear presentations used for decision-making 
  • Support the controlling team in budget planning and budget management 
  • Support with the deployment of a new ERP system and managing requests from the controlling team 
  • Work with other finance teams to drive value by providing the required financial transparency and proactively identifying areas for improvement 
  • Support in running and continuously enhancing the short-, mid- and long term planning processes, monthly reporting and forecasting 
  • Participate in strategic finance projects and ad-hoc tasks 

Your Profile:

  • You must be enrolled in a University program. 
  • Previous financial controlling and/or FP&A experience is beneficial 
  • Highly energetic and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment and to set priorities 
  • Analytical problem solver who sees obstacles as challenges. 
  • Ability to independently develop and test sophisticated financial models. 
  • Good financial acumen and ability to work with big data. 
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills. 
  • Strong MS Office skills (including advanced knowledge of Excel, experience with VBA is a plus). 
  • Experience with BI / Reporting tools is a plus. 
  • Fluent in English language (B2/C1) essential, German or any other language would be beneficial.
