We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our General Assembly maintenance and engineering team.. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Allen Bradley or Siemens controls and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems are functioning efficiently.
The hourly range for internships specific to the location is $28/hr-$68/hr and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account: degree level and job-specific domain. You may be eligible for additional compensation as well as access to our medical, dental, and vision programs.

Role/Responsibilities:
Collect equipment availability data to chart departments equipment measurables.Develop and write testing scripts for manufacturing equipment testing cases to ensure proper system functionalityDocument the Preventative maintenance system integration process, including detailed steps and procedures.Assist engineers and technicians in analyzing test results and identifying areas for improvementWork with cross-functional teams to ensure all systems are integrated and functioning properlyAssist with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment issues and identifying root cause solutionsCommunicate regularly with senior engineers and other team members to provide progress updates and receive feedbackParticipate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as neededMaintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and integration activitiesWork with a team of skilled tradesmen to understand the principals of manufacturing Electric vehicles.Preferred Qualifications:
Field(s) of study: Controls, Electrical and Mechanical EngineeringCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university. Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD) Knowledge of system testing and integration processesExperience developing and writing testing scripts and test casesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with software development life cycle and agile methodology Program Information:
Timing: May-August, or June-September pending class schedules. Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.Work Location & Environment: This position will be in Casa Grande, AZ and is fully in-person. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable. Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization. Relocation: One round trip flight to the assigned work location from/to permanent residence. Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area. Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.
