Electric Hydrogen is searching for a junior application engineer focusing on Hydrogen Modeling and feasibility studies to join our Product management team. The engineer will be reporting to the head of Engineering Studies and Commercial Analytics at EH2 supporting with (1) developing hydrogen project performance and techno-economic model and (2) preparing engineering studies deliverables.
You will be based in our office in Natick, MA.
About you
Knowledge of theory, principles, and practices of mechanical and chemical engineering
Knowledge of Energy systems and process engineering
Quantitative and rigorous person with experience in developing, documenting, and maintaining models
Previous exposure to the process for project development studies in processing industries (Feasibility studies, Front End Engineering and Design studies, etc).
Excel in an entrepreneurial environment with teams and with customers.
Strong presentation and writing skills.
Proven problem-solving skills processing complex information and present it clearly.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Energy and hydrogen system modeling Engineer
Contribute to EH2’s analytics toolkit development.
Engage with customers to provide modeling support and understand their modeling and analytics needs.
Learn and Develop optimization algorithms to determine lowest cost hydrogen system configuration.
Undertake research into new technologies to produce, transport, storage and use hydrogen-derived fuels and chemicals.
Project Study Engineer
Support with feasibility and FEED studies proposals and detailed statement of work.
Prepare feasibility studies deliverables.
Build or modify process models and simulations.
Hydrogen Market Analysis
Maintain EH2’s market intelligence library of databases and analytics dashboards
Analyze hydrogen market data and communicate insights and implications internally to relevant parties
PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES
Master’s degree in engineering, or relevant field.
Knowledge of large capital project deployment process with including front end loading studies, and EPC.
2+ years of Experience with renewable assets, power systems, or gas handling preferred
