The successful team member will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, creative, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities, across a number of human resources areas. We are looking for someone who has a broad knowledge across all areas of human resources and is detail-oriented. This role will initially be focused on owning all elements of benefits administration, benefits management, and payroll tax administration. We are a fast growing and innovative team and are looking for the right person to help us support our growth and all of our team members.

Administration of compensation and benefitsMaintain, update and audit employee record and benefits Regulatory compliance and reportingMaintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing to include but not limited base pay, hours worked, payroll taxes, benefit enrollment, benefit deductions, etc. Run and process payroll with support and collaborationDevelop and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company team members; participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems Collaborate with other team members to ensure that contributions and deductions are processed accurately and in a timely mannerEstablish and maintain department records and reports; recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performedWork with an unconventional team that prides itself on creative approaches to human resource practices and processesGreat communication skills that can build strong relationships with internal and external teamsProactively take initiative and makes decisions confidently Manage risk and changing the direction of projects and strategies Perform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Bachelor’s degree HR/Business Management/Finance or related field preferredA minimum of 5-7 years related HR experience, at least 3 of these years focused in payroll, reporting, and/or benefits administrationThorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/state/local regulations and ability to stay current on laws and regulations that would impact the businessHighly analytical, accurate and detail orientedExcellent ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essentialStrong knowledge of payroll across US and Canada preferredExperience in Payroll and HRIS systems such as Paylocity or something similarExhibit extraordinary discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with various teamsPreferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Ensures compliance with federal, mutli-state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Understanding of compliance with Canadian payroll practices, accuracy, and informationExtensive knowledge of payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxesSupports benefits administration with various types of enrollment Support and conduct internal and external audits of data and informationProcesses monthly billings from providers. Reviews billings for accuracy and approves for payment in a timely manner. Resolves discrepancies with carriers and payroll.
