We drive system change: with transformative tech to make renewable energy the norm and end global reliance on fossil fuels.

Help us make a big green dent in the universe. We're on a mission to drive the global renewable energy revolution, and we need loads more people to help us make our vision a reality.

We’ve fallen head-over-heels with smart meters, heat pumps, solar PV and all renewable tech - which instantly reduce customers' carbon footprint and give them control over their energy use.

To strengthen our capabilities in the specification of low carbon solutions for domestic applications we are looking for an experienced Heat Pump Mechanical Designer, with the ability to create detailed and accurate heat pump system designs using data supplied from our home surveyors, who conduct heat loss assessments and capture system specification for technologies such as air source heat pumps and hot water cylinder replacements.

As an experienced designer of full heat pump systems you’ll produce robust mechanical installation schematics and plans that are MCS compliant and support installation of these technologies.

You’ll work with the supply chain to review, approve and challenge 3rd party specifications and solutions on behalf of our customers. Working with our Quality Assurance team to develop the internal quality management and technical processes and standards to ensure a consistent high level of service is delivered to our customers.

If this sounds like you then we'd love to hear from you.

Studies have shown that some groups of people, like women, are less likely to apply to a role unless they meet 100% of the job requirements. Whoever you are, if you like one of our jobs, we encourage you to apply as you might just be the candidate we hire. Across Octopus, we're looking for genuinely decent people who are honest and empathetic. Our people are our strongest asset and the unique skills and perspectives people bring to the team are the driving force of our success. As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attribute. Our commitment is to provide equal opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and fairness for everyone.
