Who You Are
Reporting to the VP of Strategy, as Head of Segment and Product Marketing, you will ensure Sila is working on the highest-value product solutions by providing deep customer, partner, and market intelligence. You will amplify our market impact through compelling product messaging that differentiates and brings the benefits of Sila’s solutions to life. Strategic minds with strong business sense and technical proficiency, who love working at the intersection of Strategy, Product, Marketing, and Sales, will excel in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement a solutions-oriented partner and Product Marketing strategy
- Champion the voice of the customer and seek to understand customer needs through multi-stakeholder partner engagement, market research, expert input, and cross-functional collaboration within Sila
- Shape product strategy and roadmap by identifying, differentiating, and prioritizing market requirements. Analyze business impact of potential paths using comprehensive customer, market, competitor, and technology insight
- Craft compelling narratives that purposefully convey the multi-faceted benefits of our product solutions from the perspective of various partner and customer stakeholders
- Partner with the Commercialization team to amplify sales and streamline partner engagement through high-impact sales tools and cogent product messaging and positioning
- Drive product launches, including go-to-market strategy, packaging, positioning, and pricing
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, product management, or related field. High-volume manufacturing, battery, and auto industry experience is a big plus
- Repeated success driving product-market fit in the hard-tech industry, triangulating business needs with technology capabilities, and launching profitable, best-in-class products
- Track record of forming close industry, customer, and partner relationships at all levels to deeply understand needs, opportunities, and decision dynamics. Proven capability in earning credibility and effectively conveying value with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent communicator with strong written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills. Proven strength in discovering, understanding, and articulating partner needs
- Ability to exercise considerable independent judgment and interpersonal influence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Work onsite at Sila's Alameda Headquarters. Some business travel required
The starting base pay for this role is between $192,500 and $243,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
