Overview of the role
You will be a key member of the Operations team, reporting to the Director of Operations and with reporting access to the CEO and briefing to the leadership team.
You will be directly responsible for leading, advising and representing Tokamak Energy on all aspects of governance, providing assurance to the CEO and Directors on internal controls and the management of risk and ensuring we have an Assurance Strategy.
The scope of the role includes corporate governance, risk management, audit services, quality, security, IT including cyber security, business resilience, crisis management and Fusion regulation.
In this role, you will:
Management
You will lead the Quality and IT teams, and work closely with the Head of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS). You should be able to foster a strong relationship amongst all teams.

Requirements
Chartered membership of one or more of the Professional Organisations and undertaking a scheme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) e.g., chartered member of Institute of Risk Management, Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH), Institute of International Risk and Safety Management (CIIRSM), Institute of Internal Auditors (CMIIA)
•Extensive knowledge and experience of overseeing a diverse assurance function (risk management, quality, security, occupational health & safety, resilience, and environmental management) and relevant areas of civil and criminal law.
•Proven experience in a leading role, successfully managing and motivating a team and working with diverse stakeholders with a track record of delivering customer focused services.
•Credibility to influence change across the organisation and provide effective, visible leadership.
• Highly developed organisational awareness, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
