We are looking for an experienced Head of Facilities who:
- Has 15+ years of experience across different company sizes and stages (multiple start-ups and/or scale-ups at different stages) within the biotech industry with a proven record of successful execution of projects from research labs, to pilot, and manufacturing.
- Experience working with a wide range of architectural and engineering firms for facility design.
- Work closely with Lab Management, Bioprocess Engineering, and Operations to manage build out and expansion of Prolific facilities.
- Experience managing large capital projects from conception to completion.

- Maintain a master equipment list and manage relationships with external vendors for maintenance and repairs.
- Actively partners with the leadership team to fine-tune strategic goals and develop long term facilities plans.
- Works closely with landlords to negotiate lease terms for new spaces while maintaining constructive relationships.
- Is a great communicator with strong organizational skills and a creative, resolution-seeking personality.
- Is an excited enabler with a passion for helping to grow the company, and can dynamically take on the plurality of challenges that are inherent to startups.
The Head of Facilities would serve as the primary representative of Prolific Machines internally and externally for facility design, build out, and real estate. In this role, you would be a key decision maker for how we expand our existing laboratory facilities, as well as how we build our future pilot and manufacturing sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities leader to grow with the company and take on increasing responsibility as our team and footprint grows.

Salary Range: $140-200k
Location: The San Francisco Bay Area (Emeryville)
Compensation: Competitive salary (bi-weekly payments), stock options (subject to vesting), performance-based bonus, and free lunch every day!
