The High Voltage Battery team is seeking a Harness Engineer to lead creation and production of Battery pack communication and sensing harness assemblies. We are looking for someone with ambition who is passionate about efficient and elegant LV architectures. The successful candidate will interface with all teams involved in producing battery systems at Lucid Motors and have a say in how we design the communication backbone of our Battery Packs.

The Role:
Develops and maintains cable/wire harness component and assembly designs from system requirements, and in accordance with all applicable industry standards and best practicesCollaborates closely with Mechanical and Electrical Design engineers to ensure efficient and robust LV and HV signal bussing within battery pack designsProactively communicate with multiple other subsystems to negotiate interface requirementsDesign and oversee validation plans, ensuring harness integrity from concept to product launchQualifications:
3+ years related experienceDemonstrate technical excellence and apply first-principles engineeringStrong 3D CAD and harness schematic design skillsPrevious experience at automotive OEM and/or Tier 1Previous experience in design and packaging of wire harnessesPrevious experience launching mass-market productsConfident in your own abilities; a strong, open communicator and the ability to defend their decisions and their proposed routingAbility to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectivelyPreferred:
Experience with the successful delivery in LV harness design within an automotive High Voltage environmentCompetency in Catia (V5 or V6)Education:
BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required
