We are currently seeking a Senior Group Manager – Procurement, to build, lead and support our growing team of procurement and supply chain specialists in Europe. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven procurement and supply chain professional to build, lead and grow Lucid’s procurement and supply chain activities in the European region.
 
The current team supports Retail Development EMEA, Retail Operations EMEA, Retail Service EMEA and Service Europe. The vision for this role is to broaden the scope to oversee all of supply chain and procurement (indirect/direct) in EMEA.

The role:

  • Manage a team of procurement and supply chain specialists currently covering Retail Development, Retail Operations, Retail Service and Service procurement for Europe and Middle East. Individually, interact and source for Retail Development specifically, real estate, design, and construction.
  • Build out the team to cover other areas of indirect purchasing services and commodities including but not limited to retail, services, marketing, events, etc. As Lucid’s commercial footprint expands the vision for this role would be to oversee direct procurement and supply chain activity in the region.
  • Work with Europe, US, Middle East and Asia-based leadership to develop a global, regional and local end-to-end product-driven supply chain and procurement strategy for our growing business.
  • This leadership role is best described as a “player/coach” requiring hands-on involvement in the daily activity covering all areas of supply chain and procurement – co-create strategy, develop cross-functional executional plans, mobilize global teams, ensure alignment between global, regional and local strategies and execution, create RFQs, review, analyze and clarify quotations from vendors and develop sound sourcing and business recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time, and technical considerations, review and approve PR/PO’s, implement training programs, and provide mentorship to a dynamic enterprising team.
  • Ensure regular engagement and alignment with the global supply chain and procurement team; develop and share best practices.
  • Lead European roll-out of global methodologies/tools/templates/dashboard, etc.
  • Run regional reporting of major procurement KPIs (compliance, BCP, contract coverage, DPO) and drive automatization consistent with global strategies.
  • Co-create strategy and execution plans with the Managing Director of EMEA and VP of Supply Chain and Procurement organizations across, sales, marketing, procurement, supply chain, engineering, finance, etc.
  • Manage company budgets to ensure project delivery is on time and within best-in-market cost.
  • Work with internal business partners; Finance, Legal, Accounts Payables, Warehouse managers, and other cross-functional teams on projects.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • MBA in Marketing, Product or Retail a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in supply chain and procurement in an international environment.
  • Retail operations, marketing, and other indirect procurement experience are a requirement.
  • Experience building out, leading, and managing a global, diverse team.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Passionate for results, strategy, and hands-on execution while getting into the detail to drive accelerated performance.
  • Agile, creative, calculated risk-taker with the ability to manage issues and resolve supplier disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal partners.
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, ERP systems (SAP).
  • Ability to manage and mitigate unforeseen situations creatively and effectively.
  • Customer focus with a bias for action
  • Data-driven self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of delivering measurable, sustainable results in fast-moving, agile environments in consumer products, electronics or automotive.
