We are seeking a Group Manager to support Lucid Service’s Global Supply Chain team.  The position requires an experienced professional with a strong automotive background. The Group Manager will grow and lead a team of Global Supply Managers focused on direct automotive commodities for the Service (After-Sales) organization. Requirements include engagement with design engineers, quality and manufacturing operation teams to source and execute Service deliverables that will ultimately ensure the highest customer experience.

The Role

  • Create a strong, efficient, and reliable procurement strategy for Service’s direct materials
  • Manage a team of Global Supply Managers to source, negotiate and build a strong supply base
  • Own and drive operational excellence within the team, including analyzing team metrics, process creation and continuous improvements
  • Partner with suppliers to establish continuous supply and strengthen our position through strong contract negotiations to create favorable financial position while mitigating risk
  • Create, review and analyze Request for Quotation (RFQ) from suppliers 
  • Perform business reviews and assessments of suppliers with a focus on cost, quality and lead-time
  • Collaborate with Lucid’s Manufacturing Supply Chain for an end-to-end strategy; including sourcing, contract negotiations, material supply and lifecycle management to ensure downstream operational excellence in Service
  • Partner closely with the Service NPI team to coordinate material and vehicle changes; including full lifecycle management of supply and compatibility configurations
  • Partner with Design and Quality Engineers for new/legacy products to maintain the lifecycle of our vehicle products
  • Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience; MBA is preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant Automotive experience related to Purchasing with experience managing direct reports
  • Service/Spares supply chain knowledge is desired
  • Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP functions
  • Product launch, NPI or Start-Up experience is preferred 
  • Ability to organize and drive continuous improvement
  • Exceptional ability to interface and collaborate with individuals, groups, and vendors
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion to continuously develop, improve, and maintain processes
