CFS is seeking a working CAD Group Leader that can contribute to the design of various Tokamak systems. The ideal candidate has a full understanding of Teamcenter, NX and can quickly come up to speed on CFS Standards. You will have the ability to direct a team of CAD designers/drafters, overseeing their daily tasks.

Have near-term focus, driving SPARC systems through final design, working with a cross- functional team of engineers, scientists, designers, and analystsHave longer-term focus, lead and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of complex engineering projects, including design, procurement, and build activitiesCommunicate with engineering teams to review drawing changes to suit manufacturing process capabilitiesProvide mechanical engineering support for resolution of manufacturing and installation issues via drawing changesHave proven ability to manage a team of CAD designers and draftersProvide support on configuration management and change management processes with the engineering teamsFoster a collaborative and high-performance team culture to drive project execution and achieve collective goals. Working in a team with a wide variety of backgrounds and skillsets. Welcoming constructive feedback and different perspectivesReport on and be accountable for project progress to the head of 3D CAD integrationThe ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience10 years’ experience in engineering and project management working with a wide range of engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing10 years minimum experience in creating models of mechanical parts using Siemens NX CAD softwareFull understanding of Teamcenter or Active WorkspaceThe technical depth and proven experience to create and review drawings to ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standardsKnowledge of GD&T and the use of CAD tools to create/refine designs and drawings for assemblies and custom parts made of forgings, machined parts, and weldmentsThorough understanding of engineering product life cycle with experience in driving products through phase-gate design reviews such as CDR, PDR, FDR or equivalentStrong leadership abilities; comfortable taking on exciting challenges with minimal supervisionStrong sense of self-motivation and personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levelsAdditional experience and/or qualifications:
