Beta is seeking a motivated professional to join our growing team. Key objectives will include developing and strengthening the global logistics network for Beta, building upon best practices to coordinate logistics processes and carrier relationships, and leveraging the best cost and on-time delivery.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The Global Logistics Coordinator is expected to be located in or willing to commute to Burlington, VT for onsite work 3 days per week. The Team Member will have a flexible schedule but is expected to support core business hours 9am - 5pm. Travel may be required to company locations in Montreal, Canada and/or Raleigh, North Carolina, but will not be frequent.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
Manage and facilitate the communication between consignee/consignor and logistics providersShipping of goods and materials both domestically and internationally, This can include shipping of hazardous materials, batteries, and dry ice shipmentsUsing product HTS, Schedule B codes, ECCN classification, DOT/IATA regulations, and Export permits when requiredPrepare BOL for local freight carriersPack/label shipments according to the regulations governed by DOT and IATASchedule domestic and international shipments Manage the processing of shipments in the ERP systemEnsure that all legislation, regulatory, and other requirements relating to the importation of commercial shipments are metManage direct connection with Freight Forwarders, Couriers, Customs Broker and Trucking companiesDrive cost savings by assisting and supporting freight cost negotiations to get the lowest possible pricing for the service levels and lead times neededReceive, review, and approve freight, duty, and trucking invoicesFiling & clerical duties as neededMinimum Qualifications We are seeking:
Bachelor's Degree is encouraged but not requiredMinimum 4 years experience in material management/supplies/logistics, including 2 years experience in importing and exportingGlobal Supply Chain knowledge helpfulStrong understanding and experience with international trade compliance laws and regulations, including but not limited to, imports, exports, economic sanctions, Harmonization Tariff system (HTS), country of origin, boycott laws, and Free Trade AgreementsExport permit experience is encouraged but not requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with Google G-Suite including Drive, Mail, Calendar, Docs, and Sheets is a plusAbove and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
