General Ledger (GL) Accountant

We are looking for you as our General Ledger Accountant. You will become a partner in our growing finance team, with colleagues in the SF Bay Area (CA), Monterrey (MEX), and future locations. In this role, you will participate in building the Finance function to listing readiness over the next few years.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile financial statements and accounts
• Ensure data accuracy
• Confirm process compliance
• Confirm proper documentation
• Assist with auditor requests

 

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Bachelor or associate degree in accounting, or in a related specialization
• At least 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting, or similar
• Proficiency in accounting and business management software, preferably with NetSuite 
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards and regulations
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong time-management and organisational skills
• Positive attitude, excellent collaboration and a team player

Nice-to-Haves:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate 
• Experience with NetSuite
• Experience in a production business
• Startup experience
• Big-4 audited company experience, or auditor experience
• Strong communication skills

Location: Flexible working arrangement. Should work from the office in SF Bay Area, CA, 2-3 days a week.
