Internship Term: Summer 2023

Product and Hardware Engineering Internships

Rivian internships & co-ops are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term. Responsibilities:

Practical cross-functional, hands-on experience, working on projects that are critical to the business.
Balance of core rotations, and individualized rotations that will be geared towards critical business need and continuously expanding your skills.
Multi-level mentorship (Executive, Core, Peer) to help guide you through your rotational journey.

General Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited college or university.

• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver technical projects.

• Capable of working as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines, including external stakeholders.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working in both 2D & 3D CAD environments.

• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver technical projects. 

Eligibility Criteria:

· Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors with a 2.9+ GPA in a STEM program

o Students are responsible to maintain academic enrollment post co-op term, abiding by their respective school policies’.

Work Authorization Requirements

Employment for United States based positions requires United States Work Authorization. Sponsorship will not be provided by Rivian for student employment.

Eligibility includes students on an F-1 Visa, eligible to work on CPT. Failure to secure an i-20 prior to the start date agreed on the offer contract will result in termination of the offer.

Students requiring a J-1 visa will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis per Rivian’s internal talent mobility guidelines.
