Responsibilities:
Financial Process Optimization: Evaluate existing financial processes and identify areas for improvement. Streamline and optimize financial processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Received, Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Financial Close, Budgeting and Forecasting, Controls, and other financial operations. Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness. Develop and maintain process flow documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal controls.Financial Systems Management: Oversee and optimize financial systems, including our ERP systems Odoo, reporting tools such as Power BI and Sigma, budgeting and forecasting tools, and other financial applications. Collaborate with IT teams to configure, customize, and enhance financial systems to meet the needs of the finance department. Create user stories and testing scripts. Provide support and training to finance teams on system functionalities, troubleshoot system issues, and coordinate system upgrades and enhancements.Data Management and Reporting: Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality and consistency of finance data. Coordinate data integration across financial systems and platforms, ensure data integrity, and troubleshoot data discrepancies. Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytics to support financial analysis, decision-making, and financial performance monitoring. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance teams, business partners, and IT teams to understand their needs and requirements, and provide solutions that align with business objectives. Serve as a liaison between finance and IT teams to coordinate system changes, implementations, and issue resolutions. Collaborate with business partners to understand their process requirements, gather feedback, and implement process improvements. Work with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.Project Management: Lead projects related to financial processes and systems, including process improvement initiatives, system upgrades, and implementations of new financial tools and technologies. Develop project plans, set objectives, assign resources, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Identify risks, issues, and roadblocks, and implement mitigation plans. Communicate project status, risks, and results to stakeholders and leadership.Expertise:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance process improvement, systems implementation, or related roles.Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and financial with financial systems, such as ERP systems, financial reporting tools, budgeting and forecasting tools, and other financial applications. Odoo, Power BI, Sigma or Rossum are a plus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process inefficiencies, develop solutions, and implement process improvements.Strong project management skills, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and project delivery.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative environment, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.Proficient in data management and reporting, with experience in data analysis and reporting tools.Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or CIMA are a plus.
