Role Overview
The Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading Gridware’s day-to-day field deployment operations. This role will be part of a team consisting of two other field supervisors. This person will be hands-on in the field while managing and mentoring Field Operations Specialists who support the installation of Gridscopes. The role blends operational execution, people management, logistics coordination, and continuous process improvement. This is a highly operational role for someone who thrives in the field, takes ownership, and can translate plans into reliable execution.

Responsibilities
Lead, train, and manage Field Operations Specialists performing Gridscope installations Set daily/weekly field priorities and ensure work is executed safely and efficiently Conduct ride-alongs, on-site coaching, and performance feedback Serve as the primary point of escalation for field issues Installations & Field Execution
Oversee and participate, as needed, in Gridscope installations Ensure installations meet Gridware quality standards Review and validate field specialist installations to ensure collected data is without error Coordinate access and schedules with internal project managers and utility partners Operations & Logistics
Own field workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Track installation progress, field metrics, and operational KPIs Identify inefficiencies and continuously improve field processes Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to provide field insights and learnings Provide structured feedback from the field to improve product design and deployment processesSupport pilot programs, new product rollouts, and process scaling efforts Safety & Compliance
Enforce safety policies and best practices Submit incident reports when necessary Lead safety briefings and trainings as needed Required Skills
5+ years of experience in field operations, installations, or technical deployments 2+ years of experience leading or managing field technicians or crews Comfortable working outdoors and in utility or industrial environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Willingness to travel frequently (50-75%) and work flexible hours as needed Valid driver’s license Bonus skills
Experience working with utilities, electrical infrastructure, or grid-adjacent hardware Experience scaling field teams or building SOPs from the ground up Background in construction, telecom, renewables, or utility operations
