Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

We are seeking a Facilities Technician to help oversee all building-related activities and to preserve the good condition of infrastructure and ensuring that facilities are safe and well functioning.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide and perform routine facility and equipment maintenance, including patching, painting, hardware repairs and other repair/replacement work as required.
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
  • Dedicate time for assistance with general office work related to the facilities request and the ordering of supplies and materials. 
  • Perform routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces. 
  • Follow up with Facilities Work Requests and close out in a timely manner.  
  • Complete all documentation for work performed, in a timely manner. 
  • Oversee and perform the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan in a timely manner, break-downs are completed on schedule with spaces returned to normal state. 
  • Assist and serve as back up to other Facilities team members.
  • Assist with vendors
  • Maintain appropriate service and repair records.

What you need: 

  • 3-5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, self starter
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented 
  • Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask
  • Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
  • Ability to push/lift 75 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders 
  • Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require.
  • Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
  • Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints.

 

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Fork Lift certification a plus

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
