An Executive Protection Officer (EPO) at Lucid Motors plays a critical role in safeguarding senior leadership through proactive risk mitigation and strategic security planning. The EPO is responsible for advance planning, threat deterrence, emergency response, and logistical coordination to ensure executives can operate safely and efficiently across all environments.

As part of Lucid’s broader Global Security Program, the EPO acts as a business enabler—supporting high-risk travel, public appearances, and sensitive operations while adapting to evolving threat landscapes.

This position is based in Newark, CA and will require global travel.

You Will:

  • Provide physical protection for designated executives during travel, public appearances, and at corporate facilities, ensuring their safety through proactive risk mitigation and situational awareness
  • Conduct advance planning and venue assessments for executive movements, including threat evaluations, route planning, and coordination with local law enforcement or third-party security teams.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents via SOC systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and emergency communications, escalating critical events to senior management as needed
  • Support crisis management operations by facilitating real-time communication and coordination during emergencies such as political unrest, natural disasters, or targeted threats.
  • Maintain confidentiality of executive schedules and travel plans, ensuring sensitive information is shared only on a need-to-know basis to reduce exposure to potential threats
  • Document and report all executive protection activities, including incident reports, security logs, and post-mission summaries to support continuous improvement and compliance.

You Bring:

  • Preferred 3+ years in law enforcement, military, or private security, with a strong background in executive protection, close protection, or dignitary security.
  • Completion of specialized EP training.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, sometimes for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with surveillance, counter-surveillance, and covert protection techniques.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, threat analysis, and emergency response.
  • Experience with residential and venue security systems (e.g., CCTV, duress alarms, lighting).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (may be waived for strong candidates)
  • Current U.S. passport and TSA Pre-Check / Global Entry
  • BSIS Guard Card licensed
  • Ability to acquire a CA CCW & exposed permit
  • Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Prefer: LEOSA certified
