The Trade and ESG Sr. Manager is a new, high-growth role overseeing ChargePoint’s roadmap for global trade compliance and environmental, sustainability, and governance reporting initiatives. By working closely with stakeholders across operations, finance, legal, sales operations, and business applications, the Trade and ESG manager will identify compliance opportunities, align reporting priorities, and recruit collaborators to drive projects to sustainable implementation.   • Leveraging your knowledge of and experience with OFAC, UN, EU, and UK sanctions regimes and US export controls to manage the configuration and operation of customer and supply chain partner sanction screening applications and alert reviews;
  • Partner with Finance (External Reporting) and Legal on compliance and ESG disclosure requirements for annual proxy statements, SEC financial reports and other regulatory disclosures, such as conflict mineral reporting, EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (EU CSRD), and the Canadian Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act;
  • Partner with global supply chain, procurement, policy and logistics teams to provide oversight for supply chain compliance with published codes of conduct (RBA), sustainability compliance audits and reporting, and sanction compliance;
  • Designing and advising on enhancements for trade compliance policies, operating procedures and technology control plans and ensuring compliance with all applicable US and international trade regulations;
  • Advise executive team and internal stakeholder on regulatory changes (eg. US SEC, EU CSRD) and industry trends related to ESG compliance reporting, communicating information to relevant stakeholders, and integrating new requirements into reporting processes; and
  • Establish and maintain programs with internal stakeholders to encourage awareness of global trade compliance issues and ESG initiatives to proactively identify trade risk and threats, and develop appropriate trade compliance controls.
