The Enterprise Architect will perform as a member of a dynamic global software engineering team developing cutting edge energy storage tools.

What does an Enterprise Architect do at Fluence?

Evaluate and make product or solution architecture recommendations based on understanding of business and technical requirements.

Provide proof of concept designs and implementations to provide a base for further implementation by larger team.

Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, and leaders to document current state architecture, develop domain capability models, heatmaps, maturity assessments, health assessments, and maturity assessments, and technical roadmaps.

Provides guidance to application teams for adoption of standards and reusable solution patterns in their applications.

Initiates and drives architecture working groups to ensure that appropriate standards are developed based on common uses cases.

Review solutions other architects and software engineering teams have prepared for compliance to architecture standards, product roadmaps and implementation timelines.

What's does the ideal candidate look like?

BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from an accredited university. Significant related work experience will be considered in place of a degree.

10+ years of hands-on experience building complex enterprise scale applications or COTS software.

Strong theoretical and practical experience in systematic software engineering and software architecture, including System Integration, Cloud Deployment and on-premises infrastructure.

Ability to analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions or develop solutions to complex problems.

An ever-expanding mind that is adept at conceptualizing complex ideas quickly and conveying those thoughts to others in a clear, effective, and motivating manner.

Experience with implementation of Enterprise Architecture principles and practices across an organization (Bonus for experience with TOGAF, DODAF or another architecture framework)

Demonstrated experience successfully scaling critical hybrid cloud infrastructure capabilities for a project-based application.

Experience with containerization and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a nice to have.
