ICON is looking for an established Enterprise Applications Engineer II to strengthen the Corporate IT department and provide technical leadership and expertise across the whole organization. As an Enterprise Applications Engineer, you will be working closely with IT Operations, Cyber Security, and other business teams to drive automation and efficiency in their processes by deploying technical solutions tailored to specific challenges and requirements. Being a technical expert you will be expected to be able to collaborate directly with various stakeholders and deliver quick and impactful results in a high-paced startup environment. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX campus and will report to the Senior IT Manager. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and implement automation strategies to drive business process efficiencies across different departments and functions.
  • Assist various functions across the organization in the technical management of their business applications and tools.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance in maturing existing enterprise applications and onboarding new services.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for critical business, IT Operations and Cyber security tools and applications.
  • Support IT Operations team with Tier3 escalations.
  • Build and develop internal competences by providing mentoring and coaching to IT Operations team and other technical functions within the organization.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Senior System Administration or similar.
  • Experience with API integrations is a must.
  • Experience using low code/no code integration and automation platforms (Okta Advanced workflows, Zapier, Workato, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of common SaaS business and IT applications(Google Workspace, Okta, BetterCloud, Netsuite, Workday, etc.).
  • Proven track record of implementing complex technical solutions to optimize business processes.
  • Experience using common scripting languages (bash, python, etc.).
  • Expertise in Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Capable of quickly and independently learn and adopt to rapidly changing technology environment.
  • Ability to operate both autonomously and as a part of a team.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous software development.
  • Experience managing enterprise networks would be a benefit (DNS, DHCP, SSL, IPSEC, TCP/IP troubleshooting).
  • Prior experience managing agile software development and CI/CD toolsets (Github, Jenkins, Terraform, Harness, etc.).
  • Experience managing public cloud infrastructure, bonus points for experience rolling out and/or managing infrastructure as code (IaaC).
  • Advanced macOS scripting and automation knowledge.
