We are currently seeking an experienced Manager of Wire Harness Manufacturing to lead our low volume production operations for automotive wire harnesses. This position requires an experienced professional who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring product quality, on-time delivery, and cost-efficiency while supervising a dedicated team of professionals. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role: 
•Production Planning: Develop and oversee production schedules to meet program timing demands and ensure timely delivery of low volume wire harnesses.
•Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all wire harnesses meet industry standards, safety regulations, and design specifications.
•Process Optimization: Continuously analyze and improve manufacturing processes, including assembly, crimping, and quality testing, to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs.
•Resource Management: Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets and minimize waste.
•Supplier Relations: Collaborate with suppliers for the timely and cost-effective procurement of components and materials required for wire harness manufacturing.
•Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, technicians, and operators to ensure a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
•Performance Monitoring: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess the performance of the manufacturing operation, taking corrective actions as needed.
•Health and Safety: Promote and enforce safety regulations and best practices within the manufacturing facility, ensuring the well-being of employees.
•Cost Control: Manage the manufacturing budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure the efficient use of resources.
•Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices and implement improvements to manufacturing processes and quality standards.
•Documentation: Maintain detailed records of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and any process changes or improvements.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in wire harness manufacturing, particularly in low volume or customized solutions for the automotive industry.
•Strong leadership and team management skills.
•In-depth knowledge of automotive wire harness manufacturing processes, quality standards, and industry regulations.
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Advantageous: 
•Project management experience is a plus.

Education: 
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Bay Area Range - $138,000 - 198,000

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
