We’re looking for a passionate, empathetic and experienced Social Worker to join our team to help customers that may have found themselves struggling to keep on top of bills.
Our customers are at the centre of everything we do, so it’s on us to help and support them if they find themselves in difficulty. As an Energy Support Social Worker, you’ll use your skills and experience to help vulnerable customers deal with a broad range of situations and help them to keep on top of their energy bills. You’ll manage your own cases and see them through to an agreeable outcome that works for the customer and Octopus Energy.

What you'll do
Work with a range of vulnerable customers to schedule and conduct assessments (over the phone and in person) to build a detailed understanding of the customers situationAssess the customers scale of vulnerability and ability to pay and make recommendations on the best course of action Signpost the customer to sources of help and proactively offer / recommend appropriate support packages that are available Carry out customer follow-ups so that individual cases can be followed through to resolution Work with other agencies and where appropriate, make relevant referralsKeep updated with industry best practices and regulatory guidelinesPeriodic attendance to the office (Leicester) What you'll need
Social Work Degree or equivalent and be registered with Social Work EnglandWe’re looking for someone that can use their own initiative to tackle a range of sensitive customer scenarios to deliver great outcomes outcomes Be comfortable using your Social Worker skills and apply them to a new industry and situations Be a driver with access to a car / comfortable travelling to different locations A fast learner that has a meticulous to detailWhy else you'll love it here
