The energy industry is undergoing the largest transformation since industrialisation at an unprecedented rate of change and we are positioning ourselves to be at the heart of that change.

Our aim is to be the leading global provider of solutions that enable customers to release £30bn of value per annum from distributed energy resources (DERs). We are building a Software as a Service (SaaS) subscription business with a global addressable market of £2.4 billion per annum, by digitally connecting hundreds of thousands of DERs with energy markets.

Having recently expanded into the USA with both our retail and software licensing businesses, this is an exciting opportunity to inform key product development decisions and help us rapidly expand in the US.

Ideally you will be based in the Greater Manchester and happy to come into the office a couple of days per week! But we appreciate that things have changed and flexibility is at the top of everyone's agenda, so if you would rather be remote please let us know.

What you'll do

Evaluate energy markets and ancillary service markets for Europe, identifying participating criteria for all relevant asset types.

Support the business development team on evaluating the value of flexibility for those regions.

Represent Kraken and actively participate in relevant industry forums to accelerate the energy transition.

Use data analysis, modelling and first hand market research to help inform strategic business decisions.

Work with the product teams to identify and undertake areas of analysis needed to deliver upcoming items on the roadmap.

What you'll need

2-4 years experience working in a similar role relevant in any European energy markets.

An ability to respond to complicated briefs for regulators and communicate an appropriate response / strategy.

Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

An ability to pick up work in a fast paced environment with a willingness to learn.

Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and information.
