Embedded Software Engineer - Apprenticeship

At Dioxycle we develop electrolyser solutions for carbon dioxide emissions. Using state-of-the-art technology, we research and provide technology that captures and converts carbon dioxide and ultimately generates valuable chemical products. 

Dioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency, starting with ethylene, the world's most used petrochemical. By displacing fossil fuels for the production of key chemicals, Dioxycle has the potential to ultimately reduce over 800 million tons of CO2 per year, representing ~2% of the world's emissions. 

 

Our team is innovating across chemical, mechanical and system engineering to turn carbon transformation into an economically feasible, industrial reality by developing a completely novel technological approach. Having completed our medium-scale Proof-of-Concept, we are now working towards our first-of-its-kind industrial-scale electrolyzer and are assembling key partnerships for future commercial roll-out.

Join our team as an Embedded Software Engineer in the Systems team!

Dioxycle is seeking a dynamic, hands-on and experimentalist-minded Embedded software Engineer who, in collaboration with our Systems team, will be in charge of the development of the software to control our equipments. We are seeking a technically adept individual who is enthusiastic about applying their engineering expertise to write reliable embedded software and help us develop new equipments.

- Improve the existing software architectures (low & high level code)

- Maintain the equipments running on the lab to help the Chemistry team. This involves frequent code updates

- Design a new code architecture for the next iteration of our control system, alongside our System team

- Participate in the development of new electronic boards (software & hardware specifications, driver development, debug, code & schematic reviews…), alongside our Electronics Engineer

- Help assemble & program future test-benches

Location: Onsite in Saint Ouen sur Seine (Paris), France

- 2 year diploma (IUT GEII, IUT MP, license degree…)

- Internship in embedded software (or involved in related personal/school technical projects)
