As our Electrical Engineer: Power Electronics and Power Conversion you’ll be responsible for engineering power electronics systems and taking them through the full product lifecycle. Additionally, you will drive make/buy decisions for various controllers, displays, and high voltage components.

Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

What you’ll do:Own the device selection, schematics, board implementation, DTs, ICDs, Design of power electronicDrive make/buy decisions for all of Moxion’s electrical componentsDrive suppliers to execute on architectures defined by the Systems team and feedback risks and opportunities to improve architecture and concept designsGuide technical decisions for complex engineering challengesDeveloping and maintaining technical specifications and documentationDeveloping and maintaining DVPs for power electrical systems and componentsTroubleshooting and resolving issues with power electronic systemsParticipating in project planning and budgetingEnsuring compliance with internal and industry standards and regulationsContinuous improvement of existing products and processes
Skills to be successful:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other disciplineDemonstrated execution and launch of products at scaleStrong understanding of power electronics, EMI/EMC, electrical integrationPrevious experience working on electric vehicle powertrains, stationary energy storage systems, high voltage high power conversion systems, EV charging equipment, solar inverters
