About the company:

NATILUS is a small and growing team of extremely passionate engineers working on re-thinking the next generation of freight aircraft.

We are builders and designers who have worked on 25+ aircraft programs in general aviation, commercial and military aviation.

We believe that reducing the cost of air freight by 60% will bring fresher produce into our stores, enable cross-border e-commerce to flourish and enable low infrastructure regions to develop.

To make that happen, we need a new type of vehicle and a different way of thinking.

Natilus is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Aircraft Systems team in San Diego, CA. Your primary tasks involve calculating energy storage, and analyzing electrical loads and power distrubution. At Natilus, we work with a small team of highly adaptable engineers which enables us to accomplish the tasks of a much larger team. This gives you the opportunity to branch out into other technical disciplines such as mechanisms, manufacturing, stress analysis and tooling design as well as participate in the entire cradle-to-grave design process of multiple aircraft.

Natilus is currently building a large 19,000lb unmanned aerial vehicle powered by twin turboprop engines. Our aircraft is a blended wing body with the sole purpose of carrying cargo. Making history utilizing multiple new technologies, it will be the first of its kind to fly and be put into production.

The position is based out of San Diego and requires 20% travel.

US Citizens or Permanent Residents may apply.
