About the role...

The Edited Pipeline Manager is part of an agile Product Development organization supporting a pipeline of edited products and our commercial business. Through the design and coordination of field evaluations, this role is responsible for creating testing protocols, interpreting the field data required to advance and position multiple edited products through our late stages and gateways process and provide our commercial team with insightful information that supports future product launches. The Edited Pipeline Manager will be responsible for working closely with Early and Late Product Development teams to build a portfolio of edited products supporting Inari’s commercial goals.  This role is located in West Lafayette, IN and reports to the Director of Product Design and Development.

As the Edited Pipeline Manager, you will…

  • Contribute to project planning and defining experimental objectives; ensuring all the elements necessary for trial implementation are in place
  • Create annual product testing plan for communication/alignment with Product Operations and Commercial teams with strategies and prioritized activities to achieve business objectives
  • Summarize trial data and provide recommendations to advance multiple products through our late stages and gateways process
  • Work closely with customers and strategic partners to gather input to develop disruptive new products and support broader product adoption in targeted markets
  • Identify development opportunities and alternative paths for product expansion as needed
  • Be able to work with all Inari’s technologies on a wide range of cropping systems and maintain strong commercial awareness
  • Closely partner with other teams to identify germplasm of value for editing and trait introgression
  • Comply with all regulatory compliance guidelines for Confined Release and Stewarded Trial material
  • Other special projects and activities needed to support the Late Product Development teamStay aligned with Early Product Development (EPD), Breeding and Trait Integration teams to ensure edited lines (s) are available for testing. Share that information with Late Product Development (LPD) and Commercial teams
  • Generate and summarize experimental data that will help select high potential gene edited candidates for product advancement
  • Summarize and interpret trial data and provide guidance on first set of “genotypes” and advance it through our late stages and gateways process

You Bring…

  • Preference is for M.S. or PhD degree in Agronomy or Ag Business with 3 to 5+ years of industry experience in breeding, trait introgression, product evaluation, and/or technical product management.  Willing to consider B.S. degree with proven years of experience
  • Knowledge of products, practices, and commercial landscape within the industry.
  • Extensive experience designing field strategy and conducting field research
  • Strong experimental design and analytical skills to generate, interpret and summarize scientific data and information.
  • Knowledge and understanding of science relevant to gene edited products and of crop production systems including germplasm, traits, chemistries, and general agronomic practices.
  • Planning skills to organize, prioritize, schedule and coordinate work activities for multiple projects.
  • A strong sense of purpose and drive to develop unique, high impact solutions.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity, and a passion for learning.
  • Creative and strategic thinking, willingness to be bold and take risks, and the ability to recognize and learn from failure.
  • A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback.
  • Ability to work both independently and deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and audiences.
