Skills, Responsibilities and Experience

  • Lead the development of vehicle multi-body models to provide insight into vehicle dynamics attributes and suspension performance (kinematics and compliance)
  • Experience developing and running vehicle dynamics models for Driver-in-the-loop simulator sessions preferable 
  • Provide guidance to the Product Engineering teams on how to achieve vehicle dynamics and suspension performance targets
  • Validate model inputs and assumptions via experimental testing and data gatheringGrounded in a first principles approach - to guide designs and sanity check complex simulation results
  • Review, update and maintain best practice multi-body simulation guidelines for use across the company
  • Experience in automation, scripting and programming, preferably in Python or MatlabMasters degree or PhD in Engineering, Maths, Physics, or equivalent scientific subject
  • Excellent team-worker, who is agile, proactive, and has a "startup" attitude
  • Experience working closely with vehicle dynamics tuning engineers and/or chassis engineers
  • Good experience creating, running and validating multi-body models for vehicle dynamics and suspension performance analysis using either MSc Adams, MotionView or SimPack
  • Good knowledge of vehicle suspensions, vehicle dynamics, vehicle performance, kinematics & compliance, Driver-in-the-loop simulators, etc.
  • Track record demonstrating creativity and ingenuity
