Complementing our products are our digitally enabled, innovative processes and services.</p> <p>The Internal Audit Team enables our business leaders by delivering objective insight into Rivian’s risk management, governance, and internal control processes.</p> <p><strong>THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL DO:</strong></p> <p>The Operational Internal Audit &amp; Investigations Internal Audit Director is a key member of Rivian’s Internal Audit team, addressing some of Rivian’s most significant and most complex risks. You will provide leadership over financial and operational risk-based audits. You will also be responsible for leading and executing investigations over potential financial irregularities and violations against Rivian’s Standards of Business Conduct by using a combination of investigative work experience, professional skepticism, proven technical analytical ability, and excellent communication skills</p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with cross functional stakeholders to understand the evolving business landscape, share insights and assess current and emerging risks facing Rivian</li> <li>Assess business risks present in Rivian’s environment for the enterprise risk assessment and provide insights to the business on which risks to prioritize and how to consider emerging risks</li> <li>Assist in the maturation of the data analytics pillar in close coordination with the Data Analytics and IT pillar teams</li> <li>Design and propose internal audit activities to address financial and operational risks identified in the enterprise risk assessment</li> <li>Assist in developing the annual internal audit strategy, including balance of in-house and/or outsourced internal audit resourcing to meet the needs of the testing areas required</li> <li>Oversee planning, fieldwork, and reporting activities to maintain high quality internal audit projects across finance, operations, compliance, site, and cross functional audits</li> <li>Review audit work papers to ensure completeness, adequate supporting documentation, appropriate conclusions, consistency of approach, and regularly debriefs the audit team regarding status, findings, and recommendations</li> <li>Review analysis of complex financial and business data to identify potentially relevant evidence and opportunities for control and process enhancements in a global and complex organization</li> <li>Interview employees in a professional and courteous manner to obtain information based on identified evidence</li> <li>Lead executive reporting of audit findings to be easily understood by C-suite and prompt appropriate business response</li> <li>Provide technical guidance to other IA team members and the company’s personnel and share knowledge and experience with the team</li> <li>Assist in the completion of special projects assigned by management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors</li> <li>Promote internal audit, risk, and controls awareness throughout the organization</li> <li>Keep up to date on business activities, technological trends and emerging risks, and information significant to the profession and industry</li> <li>Provide “on the job” training, direction and coaching, and mentorship</li> <li>Manage talent and engagement to develop an outstanding, results-oriented internal audit team</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree a plus in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, or related field</li> <li>Technical certification required (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, PMP)</li> <li>15+ years of work experience in areas in internal audit, including audit management; Big 4 audit firm or equivalent audit experience preferred</li> <li>Experience in Manufacturing environment required; eCommerce experience preferred</li> <li>Developed expertise and extensive experience with leading and performing Finance and Operations Audits, including communicating audit issues and process improvements to executives</li> <li>A solid knowledge of technical accounting, controls and business practices, with the ability to scope, plan and execute audit programs and reviews with minimum direction</li> <li>Basic understanding of IT general controls and IT audit</li> <li>Advanced understanding of the Commission of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) and fraud concepts</li> <li>Excellent analytical skills and an ability to assess risk, analyze the business and operating impact</li> <li>Strong communication skills, verbal and non-verbal</li> <li>Resourceful and hands-on, willingness to “roll up their sleeves”</li> <li>Ability to lead and develop future leaders</li> <li>Knowledge of SAP a plus</li> <li>Demonstrated success managing concurrent projects independently and leading successful teams</li> <li>Travel can be up to 25%, including domestic and international locations</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>THIS IS WHERE YOU’LL WORK:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Palo Alto or Irvine, CA</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h4>Equal Opportunity</h4> <p>Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
