About the company:

Antora Energy is electrifying heavy industry with zero-carbon heat and power. We make it possible and profitable to fully rely on renewable energy for industrial processes.

Antora Energy's thermal energy storage soaks up excess solar and wind electricity and uses it to heat blocks of carbon so they glow like inside a toaster. This thermal energy is then delivered to customers as electricity or industrial process heat up to 1500°C, on demand. In short, Antora Energy turns sunshine and wind into 24/7 heat and power, cheaper than fossil fuels.

Our future hinges on heavy industry. Antora Energy’s technology eliminates the need to burn fossil fuels for industrial heat and power, the biggest source of greenhouse gasses on earth.

We are growing our company with people who put team and mission first, value connection through laughter and joy, and build with humility and openness. Join our team and do the most fulfilling and impactful work of your life on climate change.

At Antora, we’re on a mission to stop climate change and we can’t do that unless we tackle the 30% of global emissions that come from industry.

Antora is manufacturing thermal batteries that bridge the gap between renewable power and industrial production. Antora’s batteries store energy from renewables as heat for days on end, delivering that stored energy as heat and power at the scale and temperatures that large industrial operations demand. We’re on a path to eliminate gigatons of emissions while increasing U.S. energy security, strengthening domestic manufacturing, and protecting marginalized communities from industrial pollution.

We are growing our company with people who put team and mission first, value connection through laughter and joy, and build with humility and openness. We are committed to continue building a diverse, passionate, and creative team dedicated to a future where every industrial facility, everywhere on earth, is powered by abundant, low-cost, zero-emissions energy.

Position Summary

As Director of State Affairs, you will build and lead a team of state policy advisors and advocates to transform state and regional electric markets in a way that supports the rapid deployment of thermal batteries and accelerates industrial decarbonization. This role reports to the VP of Communications and Public Policy and will work closely with Antora’s project development and commercial teams. This is an opportunity to harness your knowledge, skills, and experience in government, advocacy, thought leadership, and coalition-building to help usher in a zero-carbon future. This is also a unique opportunity to join a world-class team at a fast-growing startup poised to rapidly scale our breakthrough industrial decarbonization technology.
