Who You Are

You are an experienced Supply Chain leader with deep experience in scaling teams, supporting large capital projects, and growing a company. You have successfully built and run organizations, within manufacturing companies, that create strategies and translate them into successful execution. You are a respected leader who empowers and inspires others through knowledge transfer and a commitment to learning. Your forward-thinking approach supports the company in managing risk and growing effectively.

Responsibilities and Duties  

  • Develop Sila’s Supply Chain strategy that supports our culture of innovation, development, and manufacturing. 
  • Build relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners that establish long-term supply channels and ensure reliable operations. 
  • Provide strong and thoughtful leadership to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing and motivated group.
  • Oversee sourcing through purchasing, ensuring compliance with quality standards, budgetary constraints, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Drive initiatives for improvement and cost optimization across the end-to-end supply chain process, including sourcing, purchasing, inventory management, transportation, and warehousing. Support solutions to enhance visibility, traceability, and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions in the availability of raw materials, geopolitical issues, and market fluctuations. Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions.
  • Champion sustainability initiatives to minimize the company's environmental footprint and promote responsible sourcing practices.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years experience in supply chain management, procurement, and logistics, in a manufacturing or industrial industry.
  • Leadership acumen - with the ability to engage, inspire, and motivate 
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation and contract management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to supply chain management.
  • Commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
  • Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location

The starting base pay for this role is between $243,000 and $286,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
