About This Role:
Oversee management of all areas of Manufacturing to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are manufactured on-schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
A Day In The Life:
Act as a liaison assisting company officers in the development of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives. Inform of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that impact performance.
Develop the manufacturing plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
Achieve optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plans.
Formulate and implement manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
Direct and monitor departments to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy and current federal, state and local regulations.
Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. Establish, implement and maintain production standards and manufacturing procedures.
Utilize current information and technology in all functional areas to increase innovation and compliance.
Ability to perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.
You Will Thrive in this Role if:
BS degree in Engineering or related topic with 10 years of experience.
Working knowledge and experience in manufacturing planning for new product introduction, bill of materials management, development of work instructions, routings, QC tests, and interface with international manufacturing, contract manufacturers, and vendors.
Unmatched attention to detail with an unwavering desire to build things right, the first time.
Proactive leadership of all production including shop floor and office staff.
Experience with ERP (Acutmatica a plus), PLM, MES, and PDM and the interface with new design release, material requirements and manufacturing execution.
Experience interviewing, hiring, building, mentoring and managing a team of skilled manufacturing associates.
Six-sigma, lean manufacturing and systems experience in a “start-up” environment.
Developed and presented department key process indicators (KPIs) and to measure results and drive process improvements.
Experience developing and utilizing equipment and manpower capacity models to effectively scale up Manufacturing to meet demand.
Experience managing cost centers and working with Finance to develop CapEX and OpEx budgets.
Understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and experience preparing for internal and external quality audits.
Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changes (e.g., priorities and timelines)
Desire to build game-changing technologies and impact the world of life science research.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $190,000 - $250,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
