Are you a food safety expert passionate about maintaining the highest standards in food production?

MyForest seeks a dedicated Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Director to ensure our food-grade materials and products consistently meet and exceed federal, state, and industry standards.

As the FSQA Director, you will:

Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs
Manage audits and certifications, including mGAP and HARPC, to ensure ongoing compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a strong food safety culture through training, monitoring, and proactive communication
Oversee sanitation practices, internal audits, and root cause analysis for noncompliance issues
Engage with suppliers, service providers, and customers to ensure food safety and quality throughout the supply chain
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, providing expert guidance on regulatory requirements and best practices
Supervise an FSQ&A Specialist
Needs to be local to Albany, NY area
Must be a problem solver, capable of seeing multiple solutions both short term and long term without compromising safety and of performing hazard analysis and risk assessment

We're seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Food Science, with 3-5 years of experience in food safety and a minimum of two year's in a leadership role. HARPC and PCQI certifications are required, with SQF certification preferred.
