Are you a food safety expert passionate about maintaining the highest standards in food production?

MyForest seeks a dedicated Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) Director to ensure our food-grade materials and products consistently meet and exceed federal, state, and industry standards.

As the FSQA Director, you will:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs
  • Manage audits and certifications, including mGAP and HARPC, to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a strong food safety culture through training, monitoring, and proactive communication
  • Oversee sanitation practices, internal audits, and root cause analysis for noncompliance issues
  • Engage with suppliers, service providers, and customers to ensure food safety and quality throughout the supply chain
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, providing expert guidance on regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Supervise an FSQ&A Specialist 
  • Needs to be local to Albany, NY area
  • Must be a problem solver, capable of seeing multiple solutions both short term and long term without compromising safety and of performing hazard analysis and risk assessment

We're seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Food Science, with 3-5 years of experience in food safety and a minimum of two year's in a leadership role. HARPC and PCQI certifications are required, with SQF certification preferred.

Albany/Green Island, NY Pay range: $130k-150k Annually, based on skills and experience
