As the Director of Enterprise Applications – G&A, within the IT team, he/she will be responsible to lead planning, analysis, solutions assessment, design, implementation, and operational management to support and enable company’s G&A organizations (comprising of Finance, Human Resources and Legal). He/she will also be the business relationship manager and the go-to person that the business will lean on for IT systems roadmap planning, requirements, solutions consulting, configuration expertise, liaison vendor teams. The Director must have a strong customer service orientation and continuous improvement mindset, have good judgement, be process oriented, analytical, work well in teams, project manage as required and be capable of handling multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

  • Provide technology vision and leadership for the development and implementation of the Lucid’s enterprise applications support G&A initiatives that create and maintain a competitive advantage 
  • Lead strategic technology planning for enterprise G&A applications to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, development, deployment, and management of current and future application technologies with all stakeholders
  • Strategic and operational IT application ownership for the following areas: Finance, HR, and Legal
  • Partner closely with the business unit leaders and IT leadership in setting priorities, placing realistic expectations on the scope and delivery of projects
  • Lead efforts to reengineer and optimize business processes and systems by assessing business needs and developing, proposing, and implementing technology solution options; proven ability to analyze technical options to best fit business applications
  • Work with team leads to develop requirement work plans, identify task dependencies, develop estimates, and determine resource skill requirements, provide risk management, and change management support
  • Oversee the coordination and implementation of numerous concurrent and highly visible projects supporting the business units; ability to successfully manage cross-project dependencies and accurately report status on all such projects to stakeholders
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Enterprise  G&A Applications team to consistently deliver technology solutions that support the Lucid’s strategic goals and objectives
  • Manage the use of external resources as needed for project implementations and application maintenance/upgrades
  • Manage relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization
  • Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Business, or another related field is required. Master’s degree in related area considered a plus
  • Prior experience working in the Automotive/Manufacturing industry is a plus
  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience with progressively increasing responsibility in IT delivery and support application services with a minimum of 5+ years managing global IT Enterprise applications and support functions
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a Tier 1 ERP environment, providing system vision and strategy within a complex, matrixed and enterprise sized business environment
  • Finance SAP hands-on experience and certification is required
  • Good working knowledge of other Enterprise Applications like Workday is highly desired
  • Experience integrating SaaS solutions and enterprise applications on premise and in the cloud
  • Proven leadership skills for management and development of staff
  • Knowledgeable in compliance and information security
  • Proven track record of executing through global teams, managing remote personnel, developing talent, and creating high performing teams
  • Critical and structured thinking, business acumen and executive level influence to formulate and obtain broad support for proposed IT strategies, organizational structures, operating model and plans
  • Ability to objectively assess, articulate and constructively debate major strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, risks and considerations for multiple alternatives and incorporate input from other stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence and interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization - management, peers, team members, vendors
  • Proactive, well organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to project manage small to medium sized projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
