This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit, formed following Fluence’s acquisition of San Francisco-based start-up AMS. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.

ABOUT THE POSITION: 

Location: Hybrid role in Houston, TX

Fluence Digital, the Digital Solutions Business Unit of Fluence, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SaaS Integration Services Specialist (AMER) for a key role focused on executing customer data integration and onboarding projects. As an Enterprise SaaS Integration Specialist, you will play a crucial role in seamlessly integrating data exchange operations, configuring core product accounts, and ensuring successful Go-Live for our renewable energy customers. This position requires a strategic mindset, technical acumen, and a customer-focused approach.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage your proficiency in project management tools, technical problem-solving, and API utilization to independently lead and execute integration projects. Your expertise in data exchange, familiarity with coding principles, and hands-on experience with APIs and VPNs will enable you to craft tailored integration solutions that meet the unique requirements of each customer. Additionally, your ability to creatively solve challenges and provide training on our software will contribute to our customers' seamless onboarding experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Integration Project Management: 
-Independently lead and manage integration projects, ensuring successful data exchange (ETL operations) and activation of core product accounts.
-Collaborate with Customer Success Managers and customers to gather integration requirements, conduct in-depth discovery, and tailor solutions to meet specific needs.
-Drive projects to successful go-live, adhering to timelines and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
 
Technical Expertise and Integration: 
-Utilize familiarity with APIs, coding principles, and querying/posting within Swagger to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems.
-Configure and customize software integrations, applying creative problem-solving skills to address unique customer needs.
-Work with VPNs to ensure secure and efficient data transmission.
 
Customer Training and Onboarding:
-Train customers on software functionalities, integration processes, and product features.
-Collaborate with the Customer Success Management team during onboarding projects to ensure smooth customer transitions onto the platform.
-Address customer inquiries and provide technical support during the integration phase.
 
Technical Collaboration: 
-Collaborate with the Strategic Asset Services team to provide technical insights and support for strategic customer consultations, ensuring alignment with integration goals.
-Engage in cross-functional collaboration with Product Development and Data Science teams to enhance integration capabilities and improve overall product offerings.
 
Risk Management and Continuous Improvement: 
-Proactively identify potential risks related to integration projects and develop mitigation strategies.
-Stay updated on renewables industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the Integration Services team.

What will the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience a must. Additional degrees or certifications in Business, Energy, or related fields are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in customer facing technical roles related to software integration, data exchange, or similar fields required.
  • Proficiency in querying and posting within Swagger, APIs, and understanding of coding principles are a must have skillset.
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, ideally involving onboarding and training required.
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with VPNs and secure data transmission protocols are a plus.
  • Exposure to the renewable energy industry and understanding of its challenges and opportunities is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese and familiarity working with the LATAM Market is preferred.

  • OTHER SOFT SKILLS:
  • Ability to creatively problem solve and tailor integration solutions to customer needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
