About the Job:

We are looking for our Data Science Lead who will be responsible for mentoring team members, research and develop solutions for our product using cutting edge ML/AI techniques as well as lead our BigData Analysis vertical :

• Lead a team of talented individuals and provide mentorship
• Research solutions for challenging R&D verticals using sensory and vision data from our product
• Develop statistical models for our agronomic services
• Lead our BigData project that will be a future staple for agronomic,business and product insights
• Work closely with other teams to to build a roadmap for new commercial services
• Work on algorithm rapid prototyping for proof of concept
• Procure requirements, specifications and proper assessment of R&D vertical for their commercialization

Requirements:

• BSc minimum in the areas of Machine Learning, software engineering, or applied mathematics
• Proven technical or scientific leadership experience in data analysis and machine learning
• Expert ability to work cross-functionally with all engineering departments
• Proven experience in team management
• Extensive experience in researching, designing, and developing software solutions using ML/AI or cloud computing for data processing
• Great organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Expert ability to motivate others, drive collaboration and resolve conflicts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Greek & English)

Nice to have:

• MSc, Ph.D. or proven experience in a related field for a senior position
• Expertise in Python or C++
• Experience in Cloud processing or GPU (CUDA) processing for data analysis
• Experience in Computer Vision algorithms or Optics
• Experience in BigData pipelines for commercial products
• Experience in code documentation, maintenance and good practices (repositories, PRs, etc.)
• Proven experience in project management
