We're looking for someone who will work in our credit risk function and develop our capabilities across both business and consumer portfolios.

Equally, from a credit risk perspective this is an important time to join. The energy sector has gone through a period of volatility. Businesses and households are facing significantly higher energy prices just as we enter winter. This situation is compounded with the end of furlough and reductions to Universal Credit payments. For these reasons we are looking to add to our credit risk capabilities with this new role.

What you'll do

  • Take ownership of our credit strategies for residential and business customers
  • Develop our credit scorecards
  • Payments and payment adequacy strategy
  • Collections insight and strategy
  • Develop our empathic approaches towards vulnerable customers
  • Credit risk reporting and management information
  • Strategies to identify and prevent first party and third party fraud
  • Bad debt provision and write-offs
  • Do all the above in partnership with Data Science, Finance, Collections, Ops and other stakeholders
  • What you'll have

  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Python data science stack experience (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter notebooks, Plotly/matplotlib)
  • Git for version control experience
  • Data visualization tool experience (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or equivalent)
  • Experience of consumer credit risk and collections is ideal but not essential
  • DBT experience a bonus but not essential
