Bear Flag is an early stage team at John Deere, acquired in August 2021, with a growing portfolio of projects in the autonomy space and is looking for a Controller to join our growing team.

The Pay

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $245,000 and $290,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.

What you will Do

Support month and period-end financial close and ensure accounting records are kept appropriately and comply with the US GAAP; including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Oversee and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue Recognition, Purchase Order Processing, Payroll, and Tax

Assist leadership in annual budgeting and planning process, and ongoing forecasting process

Manage employee credit cards and travel & expense reimbursement, review monthly statements and reports for compliance and educate workforce on policies

Design, implement and maintain effective accounting processes, policies and internal controls ensuring best practices are in place

Research accounting matters for non-recurring accounting transactions or new initiatives the company is exploring

Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely recording of transactions and the completeness and accuracy of all financial reporting
