Who You Are
Sila Nanotechnologies is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the construction of new battery material manufacturing facilities. Your initial multi-year project will lead the design and build of Sila’s next-generation anode material factory in Moses Lake, Washington. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external engineering and construction partners to effectively coordinate and complete large-scale major capital projects.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Direct key phases of Sila construction management including day-to-day construction matters such as safety, cost, schedule, performance, material management, construction. project turnover and close-out.
- Manage construction budget and schedule as well as coordination Sila and external partners. Identifies and resolves key issues impacting project schedule, cost, safety and quality.
- Run construction management team consisting of safety, quality, document control, material management, schedulers, planners, field coordinators, and systems turnover.
- Build out a constructability program, lead constructability reviews and ensure collaborator and contractor inputs are provided and incorporated into the project design.
- Build out new construction management processes & tools at Sila, using past experience and industry standard processes. Develop and implement Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) throughout the design.
- Provides construction leadership and input during front-end engineering development and reviews.
- Be a great partner with construction contractors, and other external parties; provide direction on priorities, schedule, and project coordination to ensure objectives are met on schedule
- Handle RFIs, change order requests, approvals, documentation, scope of work, and record-keeping
- Report construction project activities and raises key issues with project collaborators and management
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in construction management, including ground-up construction projects greater than $50 million.
- Skilled in project planning, contract and budget management, schedule management, risk management, and construction execution
- Strong track record of selecting and managing principal and subcontractors
- Proven communication and meeting-management skills, across external and internal teams
- Ability to anticipate potential issues and make high-pressure decisions
- Deep experience with construction documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Extensive Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 experience required
- PMP certification preferred
- Willing to travel to and work on build sites for extensive time periods
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location
- Move long distances and be stationary for extended periods of time
- 25% travel to and from build sites (more during construction activities)

The starting base pay for this role is between $118,200 and $171,144 at the time of posting. The actual base pay within these ranges depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future
