Job Description
This position applies developed subject matter expertise to solve unique and moderately complex construction and installation implementation issues and recommends appropriate solutions or alternative methods ensuring compliance. Acts as a Construction Management Team (CMT) member, providing oversight on all construction activities, along with facilitating CMT decision making. Does not require day-to-day supervision and has the ability to resolve most issues but may seek advice in order to make more complex decisions. Must be able to travel and work remotely as required for project support.
Responsibilities
•Reads and understands contact documents and ensures installed work is in adherence to throughout the construction and installation phase of assigned projects
•Recognizing when work required is outside of original contract scope and notifying the project manager of potential change orders.
•Assist the Project Manager in selection of appropriate contractors based on identified scopes of work.
•Supervises each contractor and subcontractor to ensure that the work meets safety and quality standards and adheres to engineering and contract specifications.
•Documents progress and provides summary report to the project manager daily.
•Acts as a technical advisor of construction to project’s CMT, contractors, subcontractors, and Fluence Commissioning teams.
•Independently determines approaches and develops solutions to resolve construction and installation related issues.
•Stops work when unsafe and determines appropriate corrective and preventative action to be taken and completed prior to restarting.
•Performs weekly safety walk of the ongoing construction work and provides direct feedback to the working group.
•Leads, coordinates, and participates in required project meetings with customers, contractors, and subcontractors as required to provide or obtain updates regarding overall project/construction progress.
•Attends contractor tailboard meetings, pre job briefings and JSA review meetings.
•Assist and/or develop project related construction management programs or plans as may be required for project compliance with contract, local, state, or federal regulations.

Qualifications:Minimum Requirements - •Ten plus years multidisciplinary work experience with electrical discipline specialty in Electrical/Utility EPC projects including construction management/leadership responsibility.•Strong leadership skillsPhysical Requirements -•Must be able to traverse uneven terrain and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, kneeling, or stretching.•Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. •Must be able to handle exposure to inclement weather including extreme cold or heat
Preferred Requirements -•Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering
