Lucid is seeking Construction Field Electrical Technician with expertise in industrial and facilities electrical systems.

You Will:

Support in the start-up and commissioning process of the electrical systems and mechanical equipment of the facilities

Have strong knowledge of current NFPA and NEC electrical codes and standards.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, single line drawings and panel schedules.

Must have working knowledge of AC Live Line Work Minimum Approach Distance

check that the installations carried out by contractors and subcontractors follow the electrical designs and specifications

Prepares and maintains records, reports, parts lists, and work orders.

Operates diagnostic test equipment and interprets results.

Ensure strict adherence to procedures, policies and regulations for both self and those working at the direction of this role

In certain situations, may be required to install and/or replace: electrical wire; single and three phase motors; Megger single and 3 phase motors, run conduit; pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc. assist other trades and facility operators with major/minor repairs and maintenance of building and equipment.

The position will spend most of the day reviewing the electrical and mechanical installations on site and report on progress.

You Bring:

High School Diploma.

5+ years of experience.

Knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations.

Ability to apply to maintenance operation of site Electrical systems.

Knowledge of electrical theory to troubleshoot and repair electrical power distribution systems.

Understand complex procedures pertinent to equipment and power distribution and wiring repair as it relates to 3 phase power systems troubleshooting and repair.

Knowledge of equipment and procedures used in maintenance of process equipment and power distribution systems equipment.

Understanding of the voltage and potential fault energy levels of medium/high voltage wiring systems, electric shock, arc-flash burn hazards, blunt force, and projectile injuries.

Ability to recognize hazards associated with the specific class of system voltages.

Experience with maintenance, construction, repair and servicing of complex industrial and manufacturing power distribution systems, wiring systems, and motor starters and controls.

Experience with grounding and bonding of medium voltage systems, equipment test procedures, and requirements for AC cable terminations.

Understanding common requirements for medium/high voltage power switchgear rated above 1,000 V.

Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety regulations regarding servicing and maintaining medium-voltage switchgear and circuit breakers rated above 1,000 V and voltage ratings.

Understand shielding requirements for 100%,133%,173% insulation levels as well as electric fields, terminating MV conductors, and orientation of overhead lines.
