About the role....

The Commercial Operation External Lead will be responsible for all aspects of seed production activities for all crops with extensive work with 3rd party producers. This role is remote based but centralized in the Midwest and reports to the Sr. Director of Commercial Operations.

As the Commercial Operations External Lead, you will…

  • Ensure seamless execution of all field activities on products advancing through the product portfolio to include:
    • Responsible for acreage planning, contracting, and production activities for contract growers which may include guiding activities during the growing season such as planting, growing, harvesting, processing and storage of seeds.
    • Responsible for all activities related to seed quality and inventory management.
    • Maintain in-season grower relations, communications and expectations.
    • Manage logistics of seed movement for both domestic and international sources.
  • Develop Best Management Practices and Work Instructions to support the Inari QMS System
  • Responsible for implementation of Best Management Practices and compliance by producers with Inari policies as applicable.
  • Strategic interaction and support for Inari’s customers.
  • Contribute to the ongoing success and growth of Inari.

You Bring…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Science, or related discipline with ≥ 10 years' experience managing contract production.
  • A deep understanding of crop production including both field and plant operations.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to travel as needed to support the business.
  • Ability to rapidly learn new software and improve workflows
  • Attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Extensive seed industry contacts
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • A strong sense of purpose and drive to develop unique, high impact solutions.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, and a passion for learning.
  • A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and audiences.

 Bonus qualifications: 

  • Experience using ERP and CRM software
  • Experience reviewing legal documents is a plus
