The Commercial Finance Manager (Sales Governance) is responsible for the support, coordination and administration of the global sales governance program, as well as supporting Audit Committee related activities for the board’s subcommittee.   This mid-level, individual contributor position will have broad participation in Fluence’s sales process with various stakeholders across multiple global organizational units within Fluence.  The successful candidate will possess very strong organizational, analytical and computer skills allowing them to efficiently ensure compliance with the sales governance program.

NOTE: This role is a hybrid role with 2-3 days a week requirement to be in a Fluence office in Arlington, VA, Alpharetta, GA, or Houston, TX


Major Duties and Responsibilities 

•Support the Commercial Finance organization on deal structuring, analysis, valuation, pricing and commercial review of all global sales transactions. 
•Support the project governance and the adherence to policy and procedures as driven by Finance, Audit and Legal teams
•Identify and classify opportunities relating to approval process
•Schedule approval meetings with sales teams and executive leadership
•Provide opportunity lifecycle reporting related to approval positions, including tracking of purchase orders placed
•Prepare reporting on risk positions in portfolio
•Support approvals of all related party transactions from the Board Audit Committee per SEC regulations
•Documentation and archiving of all approval transactions

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or Accounting experience
  • 3-5+ years' experience in a Contracts, Commercial Project Management, or Project Coordinator role related to construction contracts and/or other global transactions requiring executive approvals a must.
  • Broad understanding of project finance, deal structuring, analysis, valuation, and pricing required.
  • Highly organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders, with competing priorities.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively between cross-functional stakeholders, stimulate creative thinking and solutions.
  • Demonstrated solid analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce, NetSuite, and SAP
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
