The Commercial Finance Leader will report to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with colleagues as a member of the senior corporate and finance team. This role provides analysis and recommendations to senior leaders on positioning, pricing and inputs to key cross-functional partners at Fluence.

As the Commercial Finance Leader at Fluence, you will:

Commercial Deal Process:

Partnership with Finance on deal structuring, analysis, valuation, pricing and commercial review of transactions.

Running deal review committee for commercial deal approval process. Administration of the governance program as it relates to approving new commercial transactions.

Work with various stakeholders to maintain the contractual risk profile, determine the levels and types of acceptable risks and governance structure including coordinating Board approvals, as needed.

Automate and streamline the Approval process. Standardize templates, forms, meeting structures.

Drive pricing and terms discipline. Analytics around pricing.

Orders reporting; analysis of backlog and pipeline.

Insurance and Commercial Products:

Be accountable for the securing insurance coverage for Fluence globally. Work with the Insurance Risk Manager to secure products in the areas of D&O, Corporate Liability, Worker Compensation, Cyber, Marine Cargo, Warehouse Property etc.

Support the commercial team in developing and structuring new commercial products that rely on insurance such as, but not limited to, the following: performance risk, equipment risk, schedule risk, revenues guarantee risk, etc.

Business Development and Strategic Initiatives:

Provide transaction support, deal structuring, diligence, modelling.

Support internal and external strategic initiatives – drive process, analysis.

Technology (Intellectual Property):

Support next generation technology – financial analysis, investments, IP support. Work with Technology leadership and legal.

Product roadmap – go/no decisions.
