Responsible for the design and development of automotive Closures Structural parts and assemblies such as Hoods, Front and Rear Side Doors, Decklids and Tail Gates with a preference on aluminum or composite designs with knowledge of hinges and kinematic requirements Design with excellence at system and component level with great attention to every detail creating optimized for performance, size, weight, durability and costAbility to create testing plan to prove out design conceptsWork closely with both internal teams and external suppliers using creativity and teamwork to integrate multiple systems in the most efficient way possibleWork closely with other stakeowners and attribute owners across the company such as Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, etc. to create world class designPerform benchmarking activities to understand competitiveness of designsCoordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designsDetermine required tolerances using GD&TTravel domestically and internationally as requiredQualifications
