Position Summary

We are looking for a Program Manager to help manage ChargePoint’s engagement in clean fuel programs across North America to help expand EV charging infrastructure. As a Clean Fuel Program Manager, you will support the Senior Manager in developing and managing programs and service products under clean fuel programs, work cross-functionally to operationalize and implement programs, oversee program compliance, and engage ChargePoint customers and partners on how they can benefit from clean fuels programs to expand charging infrastructure. The Clean Fuel Program Manager will be tasked with various project management responsibilities, quantitative analyses, commercial contract management, and compliance reporting assignments. To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience with LCFS (low carbon fuel standard) programs, carbon markets, and/or environmental crediting programs, and have general experience in project management or program administration.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Assist the Senior Manager in clean fuel program development, meeting with and working across various teams at ChargePoint to help design cross-functional programs.
  • Work with operational teams to design and administer program offerings under clean fuels programs.
  • Contract with vendors and partners, including third-party verifiers and auditors, under clean fuel programs and oversee contract management.
  • Carefully monitor regulatory compliance requirements and implement said requirements across teams.
  • Enable the Sales, Marketing, and Channel teams to educate ChargePoint customers on clean fuel program details.
  • Help manage electronic compliance accounts.
  • Quantitatively model new market opportunities under clean fuel programs, including project finance and trading, and design go-to-market strategies.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience, 2 of which in a project management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. business administration, accounting, finance, economics, environmental science)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working under LCFS programs, carbon markets, environmental crediting programs, and/or a project finance role.
  • Experience working with regulators and managing regulatory compliance.
  • Some experience with quantitative or market analysis; experience putting together brief financial reports.
  • Experience working cross functionally in an operational capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Passion for cleantech, decarbonization, and electrifying transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working under LCFS programs, carbon markets, and/or environmental crediting programs;
  • 2+ experience in new program design and implementation;
  • Experience in a program management position.
  • Experience in an operational role within carbon, renewable energy, and/or commodity markets strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a quantitative analysis role.
  • Experience working at startups.
  • Experience in transportation and/or electricity markets and related regulations.
  • Experience working with public agencies.

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $52,500 to $110,250. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
