Role Summary:

As part of Rivian’s Electrical Hardware Integration team, you will own CAD assembly management and ensure engineering design intent is represented in our PLM systems with great clarity and structure.

Requirements:

Define and declare the latest Engineering (released or in work) Design BOM structure in Catia
Work with Vehicle Packaging team to understand and fix any static and dynamic clashes
Maintain interface control drawings or models
Work with Individual Design and Release Engineers to understand any changes to design and impact on vehicle model
Organize CAD model into clear future models categories
Work with BoM Analyst team to ensure correct variant codification against individual components
Ensure completeness of CAD model within purview
Run series of internal CAD reviews per subsystem
Work with DREs to ensure correct positioning of end items within Bill of Material
Create specific design spaces for Design & Release engineers to work in as required.
Assist as required in Change Action & CAD Release process
Deep-dive CAD structure to identify and fix and positioning errors & variant errors
Ultimately being responsible for the accuracy of a system’s latest WIP design structure.

Qualifications:

1-5 years experience in Automotive CAD Management
Strong understanding of vehicle architecture & componentry
Proficient Catia user
Experience as Design & Release engineer preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering discipline, computer science, or equivalent STEM subject
High level of attention to detail.
Strong resilience and work ethic
Happy when accountable for delivery

Collaborative & action driven approach
